General

This is an 8.0 Team League.  The teams must have a minimum of 3 men and 3 women with a maximum of 6 men and 6 women.

DOUBLES MATCHES

Players may not exceed a combination of 8.0 – unless agreed upon by both captains in advance

2                    4.0 players

1          4.5 player         and       1          3.5 player

1          5.0 player         and       1          3.0 player

SINGLES MATCHES

Players may not exceed 4.0. unless agreed upon by both captains in advance

Each session will be 2 hours

Each session will consist of 5 matches

Each match will be 1 hour

1st hour – 2 courts - Men & Women’s Doubles

2nd hour – 3 courts – Men & Women’s Singles & Mixed Doubles

OR – the reverse configuration

Payment

$225 per player based on a team of 8 players – please see your captain for other arrangements.

9 point Tie Breaker at 7 – 7

Teams are awarded 2 points for each match won

Teams are awarded 1 point for ties


USE THE FOLLOWING SCORING FOR INCOMPLETE MATCHES:

Teams in the lead by at least one break (win)                       2 points

Ties                                                                                    1 point

On Serve                                                                            1 point

Tie Breakers (we would like you to complete tie breakers – see your captain or league coordinators for details).

Both captains must turn in completed scorecards at the end of each session.  Discrepancies must be reported within one week of the match.

9 Point Tie Breaker

ROTATION

The next server (following the game rotation) serves 2 times starting from the deuce court (all serves start from the deuce court)

The next server (opposite team) serves 2 times

The next server serves 2 times

The final server serves 3 times (if necessary)

THE FIRST TEAM TO REACH 5 POINTS WINS (it can be by one point)

Lateness

Players must be on the court ready to play at match time (match time is after the 10 minute warm up).  1 point per minute (whole minutes) will be awarded for lateness (3 and 4 minutes of lateness will mean a Love 40 Score).  One game per 5 minutes of lateness.  The next service game will go to the non-late team.   Teams will be defaulted at the half hour mark.

Defaults

 Team s will be defaulted at the half hour mark, or for no-shows.  The defaulted player or the team is still responsible for the payment of the court. 

Make-ups

One makeup allowed per season.  At least 72 hours notice must be given.  If you have some players available but not all, you can play some of your matches and reschedule the balance.

Playoffs 

The top 4 teams will move into the Playoffs, based on an 6 team league.  Each player on a team must play at least 6 matches to be eligible for the playoffs. 

PLEASE NOTE Speed is an important factor, but everyone is allowed 30 seconds between points and 90 seconds for change

Arrivals ˝ hour after the match has started

The other team will be awarded their average score

 Substitutions

One substitution is allowed per season.  24 hour notice should be given.  When any substitution has been made, both teams will be awarded their average score.

Playoffs

The top 4 teams will move into the Playoffs.

PLEASE NOTE Speed is an important factor, but everyone is allowed 90 seconds per change over, and 30 seconds between points.
